I'm still working on the homeshow section. It is about 80% done. When finished, it will allow you to put your home on display. :)
Site Updates and Bug Fixes
July 24, 2010, 12:51 am | Everseek News |
Feature/Bug Fixes:
  • Added "Filter by Year Available" to the page header. Click the year to view only the items available in that year. Keep in mind, however, that this data is often only complete/correct for holiday season items (why I started tracking it.)
  • Fixed the animations for tinkerfest items. Click the thumbnail as usual for the large picture view to see the animation.
  • Fixed an oversight with some holidays on the "By Holiday/Event" menu that caused quest items to not be displayed.
Note: I was coding this on the live site (/blush) so sorry for any brief interruption of service. I was in a hurry and hadn't updated my dev environment. :)

Tinkerfest 2010: Starts today (and runs for two weeks)
July 24, 2010, 12:50 am | EverQuest II News |
Tinkerfest 2010 starts today! It will run from July 23rd, 12:01 am PDT through August 2, 2010,11:59 pm PDT. Unstable Tinkered Portals will be available in several zones providing a one-way ticket to the celebration hub, Gnomeland Security Headquarters, in Steamfont. Head there to partake in the glorious tinkering Hullabaloo but before you go, be sure you speak gnomish. If by some chance you don't, you can purchase a gnomish language primer from a merchant in one of the starting villages.

The easiest way to get there is to catch a one-way ride through one of these portals. Watch out for harvestable cogs near the portals:

  • The Baubbleshire in Qeynos
  • The Bonemire (at the Drednever Crash Site)
  • Gorowyn (near Elevator 1)
  • Kelethin (near the Kelethin First Regional Bank)
  • Moors of Ykesha (near crafting area and bank)
  • Neriak (in Indigo Hollow)
  • Solusek's Eye (near the Solusek Mining Company)
  • Temple Street in Freeport
  • New Halas (on the platforms leading down to the Erollis Dock)

Note: Four items were moved from the 2009 recipe book, Tinkerfest Blueprints 1.0 to the new 2010 recipe book, Tinkerfest Blueprints 2.0 (The items moved were: Automated Rock Picker, Large Tinkered Lamppost, Small Tinkered Lamppost and Tinkered Regulat-o-tron). In addition there are a total of six items that aren't craftable and are available only on the merchant this year: Celebration of Spring Sculpture (returning from 2009) and five new items: Carbonite Hex Gear, Carbonite Plated Gear, Large Rhodium Angled Cog, Overworked Rhodium Gear and Square Gear Pairing)

Shinies

Yellow Shinies

Shiny Tinkerfest Cogs, in the form of tiny gear exclamation points, could be found all over Gnomeland Security Headquarters as well as near the unstable portals. They require only a skill of 5 in Gathering and can be used to purchase items from Myron, a tinkering merchant at Gnomeland Security Headquarters.

Purple Shinies

A purple shiny collection (7 collectibles, all common) called Tinkered Parts is available for completion.

  • Tinkered Widget
  • Tinkered Gadget
  • Tinkered Gizmo
  • Tinkered Exothermicator
  • Tinkered Doohickey
  • Tinkered Discombulator
  • Tinkered Rototillerator
  • Reward: Tinkered Inspiration

Quests

Two quests were given at Gnomeland Security Headquaters in 2009 and there are two new ones added in 2010:
  • Tinkerfest Cheer (repeatable)
  • Friendly Competition
  • Great Balls of Fire (NEW for 2010)
  • The Legend of the Geargobbler (NEW for 2010)

Tinkerfest Merchant

Crafting Recipes and Goodies

Myron at Gnomeland Security Headquarters now three sets of Blueprints. They're 10 Shiny Tinkerfest Cogs each. The recipes work year round but will require cogs collected during the live event, so stock up!

Crafting Recipes

  • Master Tinker's Companion Blueprints 1.0 (400 skill)- contains a recipe for 'Master Tinkerer Companion,' a fluff pet for Master Tinkerers.
  • Tinkerfest Blueprints 1.0 (25 skill) - contains recipes for house items and fireworks.
  • Tinkerfest Blueprints 2.0 (25 skill) - contains recipes for house items (NEW for 2010) (Note: four items from 2009 were moved from Blueprints 1.0 to Blueprints 2.0.)

Goodies

Myron also sells fireworks and many items that can be placed in your home. Many items are animated, so your house will soon be able to be decoratively tinkered to whiz and whir! In 2009, you needed 129 Shiny Tinkerfest Cogs to buy one of everything from the merchant directly, but tinkerers can use the blueprints to craft the items with less cogs.

The ten winners will have their entries made into in-game paintings. As of 7-16-2010 they are not yet available on the city merchants.

Site Updates
July 16, 2010, 9:32 pm | EverQuest II News | Everseek News |

The "Legends of Norrath" menu item under the main "Looted and Claimed" menu now expands to show each card set so you can see house loot cards per set. Continue to use the main menu option (without choosing a set) to show all cards, including promo and scenario cards. The data is probably 95% right, though I'm sure I'm still missing some cards.

Several missing screenshots were added.

City Festival: New Halas
June 10, 2010, 4:26 am | EverQuest II News |
First off, I apologize for the late update. I actually took some time to PLAY a little instead of working on everseek for once. I've become a little enamored with my new little SK. :)

Hopefully you didn't miss out on the New Halas festivities the first week of this month, especially ice tiles. Unfortunately I was nearly out of tokens and didn't buy that many. If you're like me, don't worry, the festival will cycle around again (November, if I'm counting correctly.) Also, rumor has it that they may be available for Frostfell. If you enjoy raiding, you can also get them with tokens dropped in the New Halas raid zone, Icy Retribution.

View all the local specialty items sold at the New Halas City festival merchants.
